There was one group who had landed on Planet Namek a step ahead of Gohan's party and Vegeta. It was Freeza and his crew, who were after the Dragon Balls in order to obtain eternal life. Vegeta has the same objective and fights against Kewie, one of Freeza's men. In the past, they had been equally matched, but Vegeta easily defeats him. Gohan and Kuririn also handily beat two of Freeza's henchmen, but their safety net, their spaceship, is destroyed.
