Life smiled at Juan Robles. Finally, after leaving Buenos Aires behind, he found happiness in Spain. He's a well-known gallery owner, a man with social acclaim, and a happy boyfriend about to get married to Lola: a police inspector from a good family.
Román is still in jail and Juan can't do anything about it. For that reason, he sets out on a race against time to find out who is trying to impersonate The Cat.
Juan prepares and executes a robbery with the help of his old gang to show the police and the prosecutor that Román is innocent in order for him to be released from jail. Lola ends up discovering that Juan is the real Cat.
After discovering that her husband is The Cat and that he has been lying to her since they met, Lola decides to go back to Spain and put an end to their marriage. Juan asks her to stay a while for Román.
Juan suspects that his impersonator is Zanetti, the ex-thief turned security businessman, and he keeps an eye on him with the hope of catching him. Lola, who still loves him, helps him alongside the gang.
The new robbery helps attorney Gabriel Prieto get his post back. Diego, Lola's former lover, travels to Argentina to help him identify The Cat.
Antonio hides the fact that he is the impersonator from everyone, but his business takes a turn for the worse when Mansilla wants to back out and accidentally dies during a dust-up between the two of them.
Juan and Lola discover that Urrutia has a notebook with evidence of connections between families of highly powerful people and the Videla dictatorship. The hotelier tries to find out who broke into his house to recover the stolen items.
Diego finds the truth about Juan but doesn't betray him. Juan and Lola can't get over what happened and they end up separating.
Juan explains to the gang that they have to rob a bank and that Lola will be in charge of it. They refuse at first, but Lola takes control of the situation and convinces them. Bit by bit, she earns their respect as another thief in the gang.
