Young mother Athirah’s life falters when her husband marries another woman. In a culture that allows such things to happen without any space for women to refuse, Athirah wrestles her own mind in order to maintain the integrity of her family. Meanwhile, her oldest boy, Ucu (Yusuf Kalla), does not know to whom he must take side. His mother is a person he loves, full of patience and kindness, while the father remains a figure he admires.
