Fernando de Arellana (Hugo de Carril), a rich man, loses his young wife Blanca (Laura Hidalgo) and after a long period of depression, he meets Monica (also played by Laura Hidalgo) in a French cabaret. She looks identical to his late wife, but in every other respect is completely different. Fernando takes her home with him and the two get married, but Monica's old companion plans to get revenge on her for reporting him to police before she left.
