As many mainstream directors became infatuated with erotica and made censors work overtime, screenwriter/director Chin Chien kept things morally traditional and became well known for his love stories and films dealing with common family issues. Double Bliss is a simple melodrama about the blossoming love between two music students returning home from abroad and planning to wed. However, both of their parents don't know about it and when they find out, all bliss blasts away as social gaps becomes an issue. It's stars the cute as a button, up and coming superstar Ching Li with an ensemble cast of Shaws regulars.
