As an actress, she won two Academy Awards for Best Actress: for "Women in Love" (1969) and "A Touch of Class" (1973). and also won awards for her performances in the film "Sunday Bloody Sunday" (1971) and in the BBC television serial "Elizabeth R" (1971).
