Amber was born in Hot Springs, AK but considers herself born and raised in Santa Fe, NM where her parents moved shortly after her birth. Her father, Denis Tassel, worked for the state growing up. Her mother, whom she credits with giving her the "acting bug", Julia Minesci, is an actress as well best know for her infamous role as "Wendy" in AMC's Breaking Bad.
