Nanjil Sampath is a well known Indian politician/public speaker in the AIADMK party in Tamil Nadu. The given name "Nanjil" denotes his home district, Kanyakumari. He left AIADMK on 03 January 2017 (after Sasikala was elected) only to rejoin on 07 January 2017. When he left he announced that he was retiring from Tamil Nadu politics.
